CCS receive MOD Chief Scientific Adviser Award as part of the dstl Ageing Aircraft Programme Team.

Chief Scientific Adviser Award

CableConnect Solutions, CCS, Ltd continues to support the MOD Air Environment via a long term technical support agreement with the Air Commodities Team.

The Framework Agreement for Technical Support, FATS, has been put in place by the UK Ministry of Defence, MOD, to achieve best value for money from external technical support. FATS ensures faster and more efficient contracting through pre-agreed terms and conditions and standard tasking forms. Via the FATS scheme, the MoD gains easy access to companies who can provide technical support covering a vast range of competencies by consulting a Market Knowledge Matrix.

CCS is registered under the new FATS4 arrangement against 18 broad areas of capability including; Continuing Airworthiness, Training, Obsolescence, Research and Technical Authoring.

Mr Keith Fairley, Managing Director CCS comments: “The Framework Agreement is an excellent vehicle for MOD departments to get the best out of their key technical support suppliers and CCS looks forward to working with its MOD customers in the field of electrical interconnect systems. This award is another step forward for CCS and further confirms our commitment to providing top quality technical support to the MoD”.

CCS is working with the Defence Science & Technology Laboratories, [dstl], by managing their EWIS Cradle 2 Grave Research Programme. This programme is considering long term issues where investigation and laboratory testing are required.

CCS has contracted QinetiQ to provide in-depth standard requirements advice along with laboratory support.

CCS has assisted Musketeer Solutions Ltd with Ageing Aircraft Audit support, in the form of EWIS surveys, for both Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.
